Developing the Protagonist and Antagonist of a Story

Tying archetypes together through thematic intent

An in-depth discussion and thematic analysis of Knives Out kicks off this week's masterclass in Dramatica story theory. We investigate the subtle differences between Speculation and Possibility, and then offer an explanation as to why its important to be able to tell the two apart when crafting a story. The last half of the class finds us continuing our development of the Friends without Benefits practice story. Returning to the Objective Story, we find thematic threads for both Protagonist and Antagonist.
