Hi, I’m Jim Hull, founder of Narrative First.
If you used the former AstroMystic or Hypergate AI web service operated by Narrative First, or the original Hypergate AI iOS app before July 2026, I’d like to explain my part in building it and where you can get help now. Web and Apple subscriptions have different billing arrangements, which I’ll cover below.
Moving Stars is our new, independently operated astrology app. If you’re an eligible former Hypergate AI web subscriber with an active subscription, you can keep your existing subscription and price, with the Moving Stars features and monthly usage described below, or choose the make-good offer.
As a thank-you for your patience, eligible former Hypergate AI web subscribers can choose a free month, followed by their choice of $9/month or $90/year for the first paid year. If you currently have an active subscription, you can cancel it and choose this offer instead. You’ll find the details below, along with help accessing your account or canceling your subscription.
This offer is available whenever you’re ready, even if you’ve already canceled your subscription.
Recent reductions in the cost of the AI technology behind Moving Stars have made it less expensive for us to run. We're passing those savings on to you through these lower subscription prices.
If you have an eligible active former Hypergate AI web subscription, here’s how the monthly plans work:
Paying $20/month or more? You can keep your current price and receive the same features and monthly usage allowance as Moving Stars Plus, our standard $40/month plan.
Paying less than $20/month? Your legacy subscription matches our standard $13/month plan. You can also choose the make-good offer: one free month, then $9/month or $90/year for the first paid year.
You’re welcome to choose the make-good offer either way. It provides the standard plan, rather than Plus.

In April 2024, I had an idea for an AI-backed astrology app and approached David Palmer, The Leo King, about collaborating. I would build and maintain the technology, and David would bring his astrology expertise and marketing.
Over roughly two years, I developed and maintained the technology behind AstroMystic and the former Hypergate AI web experience, and built the original Hypergate AI iOS app. I also handled day-to-day technical operations and support. Part of that daily work involved bringing transcripts of David’s readings into the app’s knowledge collection, running evaluations to maintain the quality of responses, and engineering and updating the app with new features.
Below you can see my recorded commit history from the repositories behind these applications. The graphs show commits over time, not hours worked or how the code was written:
A lot of the work that went into what eventually became the Hypergate AI before July 2026 was done prior to October 2025 when the machines began to take over. Way back in 2024 and 2025 I had to type in every line of code by hand, like a caveman!
And just so you know, all of this interest in building AI systems comes from my ten years building the Dramatica Narrative Platform. This platform includes Narrative First's AI-assisted story-development software, Subtxt--which has been used in the development of Eternal Spring, Canada’s selection for Best International Feature Film at the 2023 Oscars, along with other animated TV series and features from big-time Hollywood studios. So designing AI tools, keeping them running, and helping people find joy in them has been a very hands-on part of my life.
I’m no longer involved in developing or operating the current Hypergate AI service, The Leo King’s offerings, or High Vibe TV. Narrative First continues to help with the former web accounts and subscriptions it handles.
Moving Stars, our hand-crafted astrology app, has its own direction. Its current AI does not use David’s readings, transcripts, or teaching methods. It continues to use independently developed technical systems for ephemeris calculations, conversational memory, and saved transit information, along with some new orchestration and memory-management features we’ve discovered along the way operating all of our AI applications. Historical customer conversations within Moving Stars (those prior to July 2026) are handled separately as read-only records, as explained below.
My wife, Summer Hull, now leads Moving Stars’ design and astrological approach. She’s a talented designer, and she’s brought ideas to the experience that I wouldn’t have come up with myself. After more than twenty years working in feature animation, I have a pretty high bar for design, and Summer still comes up with ideas that make me a little jealous. 😊 I’m here as technical backup.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience and confusion during this transition. My goal is to make the move as seamless as possible and help you get clear answers when something needs attention.
Keep your current subscription. If your eligible active legacy web subscription costs $20/month or more, you can keep your existing price and receive the same features and monthly usage allowance as Moving Stars Plus, our standard $40/month plan. Whether you pay $20, $25, $30, or $40 a month, your price stays the same.
Active legacy web plans below $20/month, such as $9 or $15 plans, are equivalent to Moving Stars’ $13/month plan. You can keep your current price or cancel and choose the make-good offer instead.
Choose the make-good offer instead. You’re free to cancel your existing subscription and choose a free month, followed by $9/month or $90/year for the first paid year. You choose monthly or annual billing. This offer is also available to eligible former Hypergate AI web subscribers who have already canceled, whenever they’re ready.
Sign in to Moving Stars using the same email address and sign-in method you used with Narrative First’s former web service.
If you have an existing subscription but can’t access it, please contact us before purchasing another plan. We can check your account, confirm the access associated with it, and help you work out what’s happening. Your receipt or renewal notice may now say Moving Stars, and your plan may include “Legacy” in its name.
Historical conversations that remain available in your account are read-only records. You can view them, but you can’t resume or continue those old AI threads.
If a saved chart or conversation isn’t where you expect it, or you need help viewing or downloading available information, contact support.
For a request about your personal data, email support@narrativefirst.com from the address associated with your account. We can review what’s available and help with the next steps. Our privacy policy explains how Moving Stars handles information.
Please don’t send passwords or full payment-card details.
Web subscriptions are managed through the Moving Stars billing portal. While you can email us, the quickest, most effortless way to cancel and avoid another charge is to sign in to https://movingstars.app with your email and password from the Hypergate AI web service you used prior to July 2026. Cancellation stops future renewals, with access continuing until the end of your paid period.
If you can’t sign in, need help identifying a charge, or would like us to cancel your subscription manually, email support@narrativefirst.com. We don’t want anyone paying for a subscription they no longer want. Please give us a chance to help resolve the issue directly; chargebacks can add fees for us, and we’d appreciate the opportunity to put things right.
Subscriptions purchased through Apple must be managed through your Apple account. Narrative First cannot manage Apple’s subscription billing. My historical role building the original iOS app does not change that billing arrangement. Deleting an app does not cancel a subscription.
They’re separate services. Creating an account on the current Hypergate AI does not transfer or cancel a web subscription handled by Narrative First. Check your original receipt if you’re unsure which service or payment provider is billing you.
We hope you’ll give Moving Stars a chance, and thank you for your patience through this transition. If anything about your account is unclear, please reach out. We’ll work through it together.
Jim
