Quick Access to Sources of Conflict
Nov 7th, 2020
This week's development of Subtext led to greater clarity and focus towards Sources of Conflict. A Dramatica storyform helps writers understand where inequity begins in their story. As specific as these indiciations are, some may confuse the Illustration as something simply to be copied and inserted into the text. The result is a "Mad-Libs" approach to writing--formulaic and ineffective.
In this weekly development wrap-up video, I explain the approach I've used for years now consulting with professional novelists, executive producers, and screenwriters. What's more, I show how I've incorporated this practical approach to Dramatica theory into the Subtext application.
